In the last few months, Ranchi Municipal Corporation has interacted with the citizens through various online & offline modes to apprise them about the Smart City Mission and the Competitive process for selection in first 20 cities.

Citizen feedback obtained through different modes is analysed and a draft proposal is prepared. It includes the Vision and goals for Ranchi, Greenfield development and Pan-city solutions proposed for the city.

A snapshot of the proposal is attached as a PDF and we invite comments, suggestions and observations from the citizens to further improve the proposal. This will help us in refining the proposal and making it more competitive.

The last date of submission is 11th December, 2015.

Dear MODI sir, A survey of the leading economies of Asia, revealed Indian bureaucracy to be not only the least efficient out of all South East Asians & also that working with India's civil servants was a "slow & painful" process.Officials are stealing state property.In all cities & villages throughout India, consisting of municipal & other government officials, elected politicians, judicial officers, real estate developers & law enforcement officials, acquire, develop & sell land in illegal ways

It is good to see the way Ranchi has started thinking on smart visions & goals for it's citizens. We have to make sure successful implementation of the projects proposed in the SCP, without compromising the quality. These projects can be a case study for other cities of Jharkhand. Keeping in mind the high uses of bicycles by the people for their daily commute, happy to see the city has proposed Public Bicycle Sharing System. The next step should be making streets for people not for vehicles.

Ranchi has the potential to be a smart city.It has all the features n the core infrastructure elements required to be a smart city.Smart citizen's will make smart city n citizens of ranchi r very smart n sincere n supportive too. Soch badlo desh badlega.

Ranchi has good potential to become a Smart City. Over the period of time, people of Ranchi became Smart and IT Friendly. This will disappoint such people who are holding a pre-existing image of a Jharkhandi. Nevertheless, we are doing best in some segment and our positive thought guide as towards a new horizon of development. #SmartRanchi

There are lot of private institutions are interested invest in the proposed Smart City in Ranchi. I hope convergence of funds will not become any issue here.
