The mighty impediment disabled individuals face is the incompatible infrastructure. A staircase which may be just a staircase may be a mountain for person with disability. There is a need to redesign the public infra in a mission mode. And for further constructions strict rules must be laid down to accommodate the persons with disabilities. Pavements, dividers on roads, staircases on the entrances of building etc are big challenges. Ramps and all are afterthoughts and practically less helpful.

The most important thing is infrastructure. It should be mandated that roads (footpath), buildings, buses or trains all should be handicap accessible. Secondly any kind of ill treatment verbally or physically will be punishable.

Instead of just giving them equipments just to lead them a comfortable life, we should encourage the inner talents by providing education, guidance, morality and the power of technology using which they can really prove themselves as specially abled.

1. Device can be developed for people who cannot speak, a device which can convert a written message into audio, this can be developed by programmers & Electronics & Communications Engineers. 2. A GPS System must be attached in automated wheelchairs( battery operated or solar powered ). 3. A wheelchair for the blind people can be designed which would not only use GPS but sensor which would detect a person at a distance of 2m away & would alert the person on chair to stop or change the way.
