By creating this movement, we can also have these athletes who compete at a national event, to go represent India at the Olympics at a world state. There is a special Olympics after the ones that all of us look forward to every four years. This provide another avenue for industries to come around building the individual. Creating training equipment, prosthesis, schools, training facilities and more for people with special needs. thank you, Niraj

being a human being with feelings towards all spheres of lifeI have seen people in many parts of the country that I have visited. ut limiting to Guwahati, there are many disabled persons who reside on roadsides with one crippled leg or with no legs and many blind people. these people should be given proper help by the government and even a chance to work in SSI or MSI where they can atleast earn their livelyhood and in turn earn for the country too.

I feel a car should be developed for people having problem in their legs. The brake and the accelerator can be hand operated. Also the car would have automatic gear shifting. It is not a big deal in developing such a car within the country. These products should be free from excise, sales, road tax, registration and insurance expenses. At least this much can be done for this under privileged class.

Making travelling of handicapped people completely independent without the help of others is important. Here in Germany, every bus tilts a bit and they have a support ramp for handicaps. Also, every bus and train stops are completely handicap friendly. They have tactile paving on foot paths and other public places for blind people. Every new bus station and train station we build, should adapt these changes. These things were somewhat adapted in Ahmedabad BRTS project as well. Jai Hind!

Make India wheelchair accessible. Promote incentives for businesses that provide permanent ramps , wheelchair accessible entries all the way. Physical permanent ramps must be incorporated into building designs in the event of escalator/lift outage or Power failures. Every platform in stations/busstops needs to have accessibility ramps from other points. Make city management connect footpaths and walkways accesibility ramps. Certify businesses for giving accesible route options.

with new devices going into clinical trials at a breakneck pace. A bionic arm allows amputees to control movements of the prosthesis with their thoughts. A training system called BrainPort is letting people with visual and balance disorders bypass their damaged sensory organs and instead send information to their brain through the tongue. Now, a company called Second Sight has received FDA approval to begin U.S. trials of a retinal implant system that gives blind people a limited degree of visio
