The concept here is that book represents olden days records and as archives is nothing but records I used book with tricolour to show symbolically. NAI in the centre can be removed as well. Motto is "One Stop for Nation's Recollections and Researches."

s I have designed this emblem and motto as an eye by imagining that " National Archive of India" is acting as an eye ball of INDIA in keeping an eye on records and monuments of India while public is outline of an eye (motto) and protect the " eye ball"(NSI) by outside support

The word Archive is represented by letter "A" from ashokan script “Brahami” (Origin of all Indian Scripts), Devnagri (National script India) to Latin "A"(international Script). My emblem also depicts Currency, Monument, Manuscript and Inscriptions which is stored and preserved in a place called National Archives of India. "I try to learn from the past, but I plan for the future by focusing exclusively on the present. - Donald Trump.
