Punishment is not always solution, here in USA everybody does it so it is like second habit. Colour coded bins are good idea and should be made mandatory in every housing society, malls and business areas. In USA highways are adopted by the people /business using it and this can be encouraged/implemented.

We pay our electricity bill on time; else electricity department will impose financial penalty. We pay our telephone bills on time; else service provider will suspend our phone services. We do not litter in religious places; as this is in direct violation of our faith in the religion. Basically, most (if not all) of our actions are governed by repercussions of violations. Hence, there is a need to have a guideline to keep public places clean also, and on violation there should be repercussions.

Besides implementing techniques what other western countries implement, people should be made aware of cleanliness and the problem we face currently through advertisements on television and social media. The swach Bharat campaign initiated by PM is a great initiative. This should be spreaded among public via all possible means.

Railway coaches to be built to keep sewerage in a cubicle and discharge at designated points, Rakes normally stop at major destinations to fill fresh water, service & cleaning. Create small nanotechnology effluent treatment plants near all these stations to purify & reuse the water with in railways network.

I live in Johannesburg. and watching Modiji's clean indian campaign with a lot of interest. I humblu suggest to look at making this into a 'PULL' rather than a push campaign, to make it sustainable. We all should be socially responsible to do it, but intencivising with recycling schemes & boosting the sector will make india cleaner faster and keeps it that way. Banning plastics is not a reality, rather collect & reuse to make products cheaper. Regards

I am a resident of United Arab Emirates and this country to be much more clean as compared to India. The reasons are availability of resources dedicated to cleaning, less population etc. My view is that the UAE model is very cleaning intensive, therefore resource intensive and is not a model India can straightaway adopt. In fact India should adopt a model which is awareness and education centred, starting with teaching common man how to use and maintain the toilets. Please see attached document.

Based on my abroad experience I want to share few suggestions - government should increase dustbin in crowded places - dustbin plastic should change daily - awareness board for cleaning should appear in many places

In Malaysia, cleanliness is taught to children right from school. The tool to train is 5S. There cannot be cleanliness until and unless the it becomes a culture of India. So the most urgent thing to do would be introduce this tool across the nation and then we would have much better generation in the coming years.
