The mandate of the Department of Social Justice & Empowerment is to empower weaker sections in the society, namely, (i) Scheduled Castes, (ii) Other Backward Classes, (iii) Senior citizens, (iv) Victims of alcoholism and substance abuse and (v) De notified & Nomadic Tribes (vi) Economically Weaker sections,(vii) Beggars & (viii) Transgender  persons through programmes/schemes for educational, economic and social development and rehabilitation, where necessary, to enable them to lead a productive life and live with dignity.

Citizens are invited to suggest a tagline for the Department of Social Justice & Empowerment and win prizes.

The last date of submission is 10th November, 2014.

The best entry will be awarded a cash prize of:

1. First Prize: Rs. 25,000/-
2. Second Prize: Rs. 15000/-

There may be one consolation prize being cash award of Rs. 10,000/-.

Terms and Conditions

•    The Tagline should be in line with the social objective of the Department
•    A person is entitled for only one entry in each category
•    Each entry should be accompanied by the complete details such as name, full address, phone numbers, valid e-mail id.
