Talkathon on Accessible India with Hon. Minister Shri Thaawar Chand Gehlot

As part of its initiative to highlight the ongoing drive by Government of India towards the inclusion of the disadvantaged sections of the society and to publicize Accessible India Campaign, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting is organizing “Talkathon” with Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment Shri Thaawar Chand Gehlot and Secretary Shri Lov Verma. They will directly interact with twitterati by answering the questions posted with #AskonAccessibleIndia. The Talkathon programme is scheduled to be held on 7th January, 2016 from 6 PM onwards. The event will be live streamed on the Youtube channel of I&B Ministry- youtube.com/inbministry (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SlEamJs1n3s). The program would be live from National Media Centre, New Delhi.

“Sugamya Bharat Abhiyan” or “Accessible India Campaign” - formulated by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwD), Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment aims to create barrier free environment to the disabled.

Gehlotविकलांगजन सशक्तिकरण स्लोगन 1) निराधार का आधार, भारत सरकार,, 2) विकलांगजन को सहारा दीजिये | विकलांगजन का जीवन सवारिये || 3) ऐसी कौन सी लाचारी| जो विकलांगजन से छीने आजादी || 4) समाज में लानी होगी जाग्रति| विकलांगजन सशक्तिकरण को दीजिये गति || 5) विकलांगजन देश का गौरव बढ़ाएंगे| यदि हम उन्हें मजदूरी पर न लगाएंगे 6) निराश्रित का आश्रयदाता , भारत सरकार,, 7) विकलांगजन में बस्ते है भगवान, विकलांगजन की मजदूरी से होगा भगवान का अपमान || 8) विकसित राष्ट्र की हो कल्पना, विकलांगजन की मजदूरी होग

6. The employability options for Divyang have to be thought of. Most of them find employment in the institutions that they were trained at, however further avenues of employment need to be thought of.

5. Some countries also have specially designed accommodation for the specially-abled.

2. Special parking slots for parking special vehicles of the Divyang. 3. Popular public facilities like bus stands, railway stations, cinema halls, malls and markets must have ramps and authorities/owners be given incentives for doing so. 4. There are many scholarships in place for the Divyang- those mainstream educational institutions that include Divyang as their students should be given incentives too.

The regular population needs to be more tuned to the needs of the Divyang. 1.Ramps and wheel chair friendly ramps should be made in all government buildings and public facilities.

vocational education should be given to each specially abled people, considering their disabilities. by doing this we can achieve two goals. 1. It can help in country production & 2. That individual can get get a job.
