Republic day is an occasion for all of us to rejoice in patriotic fervour. This day commemorates the date on which the Constitution of India came into force in 1950.

Give expression to your artistic interpretation of this historic occasion by designing wonderful e-Greetings cards!

The last date of submission is 23rd January, 2017, by 11:00 am.

Important Note: The designs submitted by the users should NOT contain the numeral '2017'.

Terms and Conditions

1. Submissions should be in the portrait layout with a minimum size of 10x12cm. Designs smaller than the given size and/or different layout would not be considered.

2. The designs submitted by the users should NOT contain the numeral '2017'.

3. All designs shortlisted by the Standing Committee, after eliminating unsuitable entries, would be published on the portal.

4. Based on actual usage, (i.e. citizen’s choice/acceptability) over the period 25th January, 2017 – 11th February, 2017, top 3 designs will be rewarded with a cash prize of Rs. 10,000/-, Rs. 7,500/- and Rs. 5,000/- respectively.

5. Subsequently, only the top 5 most used designs will be retained on the portal.

6. Entries should be original. Individuals submitting copied entries would not be considered for future contests.

Disclaimer: All efforts will be made by the Standing Committee to check for originality of the submissions, however MyGov and e-Greetings portal will not be held accountable for any submission identified as a copy

Our country, India celebrates the Republic Day every year to honour the date when Constitution of India came into force. The Constitution of India replaced the Government of India Act 1935 as a governing document of India on the special date called 26 January in 1950. On this day in 1950, India becomes a Democratic Republic. Celebrations are held every year on this day throughout the country. On 26th January, 1950, the Constitution of India came into force and made India a Democratic Republic country.
