The Chandigarh Pollution Control Committee (CPCC), U.T, Chandigarh has taken serious cognizance of the increasing pollution levels in the airs of the city. Pollution occurs in many forms including Air, Water, Soil & Noise pollution.

The CPCC has expressed serious concern over the contamination of the overall environment as the sources of pollution don't simply have a negative impact on the natural world, but also have a measurable effect on the health of human beings also.

In this direction, the Chandigarh Pollution Control Committee has decided to engage the citizens of the city for their invaluable suggestions/ideas/opinions/practical solutions to put a check on increasing levels of all types of pollution in Chandigarh.

The CPCC hereby appeals to the city residents to participate in huge number in order to equip the CPCC with more and more innovative and practical solutions/ideas (which are implementable) to curb the problems arising out of different kind of pollution.

Chandigarh the CITY of LOVE, CULTURE and PEACE,, is gone to Pollution,,Politicians,,Corrupted IAS officers,, future is not bright until some hard steps are taken,.,.METRO COMES IN SECTORS,,UNDERGROUND,,TRAMS START WORKING,,CITY is made safe for walking,,, every side of roads are connected under basement and lot more,,,I have lot of ideas to save my city,,, but please have guts to implement it,.,.fully,.,.let residents face ,.,,some inconvenience,,so that generations are spared....

Check the condition of PGI,,EMERGENCY and other areas in Chandigarh,,, why from last 40-50 years it has not improved,, because population growth ??? why there was no planning and why city was made to suffocate the pollution and growth effect because,,,there was no planning,,no controlling and educating the citizens that,, City is full,,,no broadening of roads,,,,no development just the cutting of trees and widening of roads,,citizens themselves are,, to blame also,,

Chandigarh can never be clean and good city,,,until Corrupted Babus and High profile people move out of it,,, and the politicians,,, spare this city alone,,,the work in city is done only on the basis of IAS officers orders and not in routine and NEED BASED,,,why METRO in city is not coming INSIDE the CITY to CONNECT THE SECTORS,,,WHY IS IT GOING FROM OUTSIDE,,WHY THERE IS NO PLANNING,, WHY WORK IS DONE WHEN IT BECOMES VERY NECESSARY,,WHY IT IS NOT DONE ON REGULAR BASIS,,

Aj world climate ke parti chintit he. Jis parkar hamara sariar healthy hone par hum uska khayal nahi rakhte but bimar hone par uska parthamik upachar karte he. Thhik usi parkar ye dharti ma wait kar rahi he jalwayu ka parthamik upachar ka .hame aane wale new year me hame jalwayu ko healthy banane ka sankalp lena he.

In all the major cities across India, a CAP AND TRADE system on number of vehicles to be put. i.e. fixed number of vehicles with sale and purchase of those licenses. Limits on licenses per family in few cities. And taking in Mission mode alternative transport of busses (monthly Passes, Good quality infra, low cost); auto-taxi (low fares, security, transparency); etc

Many steps are to be followed. First a complete investigation should be done for industries and factories that they should not emit much gases and it should be compulsory to be get certified from the government in terms of pollution. Now we can see that many cabs service is getting stated,their should be a guidelines for them like they should have only limit number of cars,car pooling is also a best way to control the number of vehciles.Proper place should be their to burn paper,leaves,garbage.

Along with vehicular pollution, the prime reason of smog in the residential sectors is the burning of litter, leaves, and other waste products due to improper mechanism to dump it off at the right place. The smog at my place, sector-61 , is due to burning of waste, rubber etc, by the kabadis in the nearby sector-52 colony. This makes the winter days miserable. Authorities should take action against it.

The government should ban plastic bags and the government should also take steps to bring the price of patrol less than diesel which will result in less use of diesel cars and hence pollution can be controlled.As one diesel car emit pollution equal to 7 petrol cars.And at the same time the government sould provide subsidy for farmers so that they can run equipments like tractors easily.Providing subsidy is important as most farmers in India are poor and they con not afford high diesel prices.
