The Chandigarh Pollution Control Committee (CPCC), U.T, Chandigarh has taken serious cognizance of the increasing pollution levels in the airs of the city. Pollution occurs in many forms including Air, Water, Soil & Noise pollution.

The CPCC has expressed serious concern over the contamination of the overall environment as the sources of pollution don't simply have a negative impact on the natural world, but also have a measurable effect on the health of human beings also.

In this direction, the Chandigarh Pollution Control Committee has decided to engage the citizens of the city for their invaluable suggestions/ideas/opinions/practical solutions to put a check on increasing levels of all types of pollution in Chandigarh.

The CPCC hereby appeals to the city residents to participate in huge number in order to equip the CPCC with more and more innovative and practical solutions/ideas (which are implementable) to curb the problems arising out of different kind of pollution.

Eliminate kerosene subsidy. Petrol adulteration will stop. The poor don't use kerosene much anyway these days. Without subsidy, only the needful quantity will be imported. Force minimum detergent levels in petroleum and blind audit from time to time. It will keep the engines cleaner too. Incentivize regular maintenance of privately owned vehicles and mandate it for public vehicles. Finally, plant more trees in and around Chandigarh. This will yield strong long term benefits.

pollution free india must be a target and this can be fulfilled with efforts of all the states together for a good city like Chandigarh it is not a very hard task as people there are energetic hard working so i can suggest few ideas they are 1. awareness among people 2. increasing use of eco friendly vehicles like cylce rickshaw and battery cars 3. no motor day celebration when no one will use any car bike

This suggestion is difficult but not impossible for chandigarh if it has will to overpower pollution. we need to act now proactive to preserve the ecology and present the future generation a better climate. MAKE ONE DAY IN MONTH ALONG WITH ALL THE NATIONAL HOLIDAYS as " BIKE AND CAR FREE DAY. BY EVERYONE FOR EVERYONE"!

Air pollution has become a major concern which caters primary threat to the citizens. Hence, out-life vehicles are to be recognized and inculcated to initiate vehicle policy. Furthermore, water pollution could be controlled through diversion of solid wastes from disposition into water bank. Noise pollution can be averted by educating public through advert programs where stating decibels increase could initiate physical health problem.

Ban on packaging items that are not bio-degradable will help reduce the soil pollution. Put dustbins and encourage people to throw in it will increase cleanliness and the waste in turn can be reused or recycled. Planting trees which require less water will help lower air pollution. Electric vehicles including buses (make in India initiative) is a good option. Industries waste should be collected and destroyed as a separate mandatory activity for every industry instead of dissolving in water.

Products using Solar Energy should be made more accessible and use of solar power should be more advertised. There is a company named AgniSolar of Pune which is installing free solar set-up for all electricity requirements at your residence and you will pay per month for number of units consumed for 20 year period. Admiinistration should make such kind of schemes more and more popular. In their own words. "ZERO INVESTMENT. ZERO MAINTENANCE COST. ONLY PAY FOR UNIT OF ELECTRICITY!"

making a bypass outside the city for vehicles passing by the city would be effective. one day out a week people should use cycles competetions among localities for cleanliness and wastage handling would work a lot.prizes to be given to the winners of the competition. Same can be done in schools

Respected Sir, I have a very Good Idea to Solve this problem. I know It is not possible now a days Life without Vehicles. We don't need to Leave our vehicles. We Just need a small carbon or other filter to be fitted in Silencer of the vehicle. Whether it is car or bike. In this way we can solve the pollution problem. And Manufacturing this filter as a Make in India Programme. In this way we can Make Out City Free From Pollution.

Pollution may be controlled in the well developed Chandigarh city by using maximum no. of bicycles,by walking,by Eco-friendly viechles It may be reduces the pollution and it is best method for our health and physical structure also It maintain our physical structure free from disease.
