10 pm to 6 am should be enforced by the UT Admin as a strictly low decibel period for all days, no excuses. Any noisy defaulters should pay the Rs. 5000 'Environment compensation' similar to plastic bag users. This includes 'jagratas', parties, marriages, religious gatherings, etc. Also, we Indians don't litter abroad, seeing how clean the places are. Maybe if the UT Admin aggressively cleaned up the existing garbage dumps and strictly imposed fines for littering, Chd could become cleaner.

Pollution in the metro cities are increasing day by day. People use motor vehicles to reach college, office etc. If it is within a five km range they can use a cycle instead of wasting petrol and polluting the air. I dont know how many likes to follow this suggestion. But it will provide u health, provide a good environment, provide less traffic in the city.

This suggestion should be considered for not Chandigarh alone but for the nation overall. My view is that we can no longer continue to use the internal combustion (IC) engine to power motor vehicles in India and expect to keep air in our cities clean. The only option is to make a radical, game-changing, and somewhat long-term leap to renewable fuels. This will require coordination and cooperation of multiple entities across government and the private sector but I believe this can be achieved

Subject Cover Construction site : One thing that I observed while travelling to India is the air pollution caused by not so regulated construction. I would suggest government #PollutionControl / #MyGov to impose a rule which forces construction company to cover construction site with mounting vertical poles and covering with rug sack / any dust preventing material like cloth. This will dramatically reduce amount of construction dust which is flowing is windy zone and improve health of citizens.

Biodegradable Plastic is the only option in replacement to Non-woven and Plastic bags. But administration and pollution control board do not want to except this product despite excepted by NGT and number of European and Arab Countries. They are not serious in removing plastic and saving our Environment. It is just a NGT pressure. We should be ready to use plastic with different name i.e Non-woven bags, plastic as per Delhi High Court. #PollutionControl,#Chandigarh,#UT,#MyGov

The main reasons for pollution in the city:-
1.Burning of garbage & plastic by sweepers
2. Diesel autorickshaws
3.Old diesel buses & trucks
By making strict policy against all of these, we can curb pollution.
Promoting renewable energy is another way. #pollutioncontrol
