The city of Davanagere is located at a distance of about 260 km from the state capital of Bangalore. It is nestled at the foothills of the Western Ghats. Previously known for its cotton mills, it is a fast developing city of Karnataka. The arid town was once a thriving textile center. This place is also called as 'Manchester of Karnataka' or textile capital of South India.

Davanagere City Municpal Council came into existence on 7th Aug, 1951. Later it is upgraded as Davanagere City Corporation on 6th Jan, 2007. Presently it has jurisdiction over an area of 68.63 Sq. Kms with over 1.5 lakh properties. Davanagere City Corporation is situated at the P B Road, opposite to City Railway Station, Davanagere.

For its governance, the Davanagere City Corporation is divided into 41 wards, each represented by a Corporator. The Corporators elect the Mayor, who is the administrator of the City and serves office for a term of one year. The administration of the Corporation is vested in the Commissioner, who is designated by the State Government.

1. Firstly the conditions of the roads have to be drastically improved. 2. Adequate and Regular supply of water. 3. Proper waste pick up and Management. 4.Continuous Supply of Electricity. 5. Proper Traffic Lights. 6. Public Transportaton shoule be improved.

1.good road should be provide for all streets 2.the city should be garbage free. 3.power should be provide atleast 20 hours. 4.IT companies ,manufacturing units,factories in davangere can provide employment oppurtunities. 5.The main roads has to be widen.

1. More trees on roadways. 2. Cleaning of sites in and around the city. 3. 24x7 power supply and adequate water supply. 4. Wastes management and recycling.

1.Whether you succeed in making the smart city or not we dont know,But provide us the elctricity. 2.Construction of quality roads 3.Must improve the interaction of political leaders with the civilians. 4.Expansion of the city is much needed.

Establishing II companies will increse the revenue and eventually standard of the city and also helps in the development of real estate . some tourist spots must be created and improved and pigs has to be taken care of

Establishing II companies will increse the revenue and eventually standard of the city increases which leads to development of better roads and foot-paths,public toilets,growing plants and economy of the city also increases better health care facilities at low cost elemination of pigs
