The city of Davanagere is located at a distance of about 260 km from the state capital of Bangalore. It is nestled at the foothills of the Western Ghats. Previously known for its cotton mills, it is a fast developing city of Karnataka. The arid town was once a thriving textile center. This place is also called as 'Manchester of Karnataka' or textile capital of South India.

Davanagere City Municpal Council came into existence on 7th Aug, 1951. Later it is upgraded as Davanagere City Corporation on 6th Jan, 2007. Presently it has jurisdiction over an area of 68.63 Sq. Kms with over 1.5 lakh properties. Davanagere City Corporation is situated at the P B Road, opposite to City Railway Station, Davanagere.

For its governance, the Davanagere City Corporation is divided into 41 wards, each represented by a Corporator. The Corporators elect the Mayor, who is the administrator of the City and serves office for a term of one year. The administration of the Corporation is vested in the Commissioner, who is designated by the State Government.

provide better roads cleaness should maintain properly reduce pollution grow trees on either sides of roads put proper drainage pipe lines provide good salary for cleaners

the mindset and mentality of people should change safety to women and childern traffic to be handled properly wide roads elimination of pigs cleaner and greener city better health care facilities

Build places like parks and make it attractive by creating some lakes and boating or water showers with laser shows and so on.. so that people from other places will come to visit davanagere.It will also create employments and improve the economy of the city

Let the smart city be GREEN CITY.we usually imagine a smart city with lot of infrastructure developement, but rather having big buildings its better to have a city with good environment where people can live healthy.so I suggest to make our Davanagere A GREEN CITY.Also, we don't have any places in davanagere where we can go with our family and friends to spend our vacations and time so it is required to build a attractive place or spot where people can come and enjoy.

Following measures were not taken so far 1. elemination of pigs and dogs 2. Maintainance of clean road 3. Pothole filling of the roads 4. Hapazard traffic parking 5. Identifying One ways 6. Good drainage system I feel these aspects are to be taken care of.

10. Number of stadium should be increased to at least 3. 11. Playground and basketball court should be made and maintained. 12. Dust control should be made. 13. Facilities for development of business and manufacturing of products and opportunities for MNC companies to setup facilities should be given.

1. Electricity poles should be made underground. 2. Every road should be widened. 3. Proper bus stops should be built as all the buses stop in the middle of the Road 4. Every road should be planted with trees at both the sides. 5. WiFi facilities should be made. 6. Radio FM stations should be developed. 7. Development regarding manufacturing corridors should be made. 8. Footpath at every road should be constructed. 9. Number of parks should be increased and all the parks should develop
