The city of Davanagere is located at a distance of about 260 km from the state capital of Bangalore. It is nestled at the foothills of the Western Ghats. Previously known for its cotton mills, it is a fast developing city of Karnataka. The arid town was once a thriving textile center. This place is also called as 'Manchester of Karnataka' or textile capital of South India.

Davanagere City Municpal Council came into existence on 7th Aug, 1951. Later it is upgraded as Davanagere City Corporation on 6th Jan, 2007. Presently it has jurisdiction over an area of 68.63 Sq. Kms with over 1.5 lakh properties. Davanagere City Corporation is situated at the P B Road, opposite to City Railway Station, Davanagere.

For its governance, the Davanagere City Corporation is divided into 41 wards, each represented by a Corporator. The Corporators elect the Mayor, who is the administrator of the City and serves office for a term of one year. The administration of the Corporation is vested in the Commissioner, who is designated by the State Government.

Already i have met with the davangere DC Mr. Anajan Kumar and submitted my suggestion hard copy. my suggestion towards the smart city is make the city as father of the singapore dont think to make city similar to the singapore. My notion is generate electricity on their own so that the electricity problem reduces and many other points included below.

1.roads should be good that is the representation of the country. 2.More trees and plants make the city green and dust free. 3.sign boards and direction should be correct and understandable so that outer's feel comfort. 4.drainage problem should be solved 5.water and power supply should be in proper way.

1.dust free roads 2.proper management of supply water and power 3.make good quality roads so that there should be no pits as soon as heavy rainfall.

Establishing II companies will increse the revenue and eventually standard of the city .Dust free Davangere. power should be provide atleast 20 hours. wi-fi in public places.

1)More than dust free roads i need pit free roads... 2)Adequate power and water supply.... 3)Educate the people about smart davangere and their mindset is more important... 4)proper arrangment for pigs must be taken by the corporation.. 5)IT companies must be established..... 6)Proper management for wastes must be taken...

First aware the people about your plans,and take suggestions from the people who are intrested,get good investments for small and large scale industries from all over the globe,eradicate unemployment and illitracy, you provide us mostly everything but quality is below the worst level. provide electricity,try to generate electricity by other means. provide every possible and needed facilities by the farmers,provide them a wide market without middlemen. quality roads and greenary,footpaths.

1.It is better to improve the existing than introducing newer ideas for improvement of city. Primary areas to improve, *Roads *Hospitals *power supply *Garbage management *water supply *power management 2.It is duty of each and every citizen to keep city clean ,to make them realize that public property as there own by collecting money from all citizens in every ward and introduce basic facilities in there ward. 3.A recycle factory is must for every smart city ,to recycle the waste.
