Coimbatore roads are congested with heavy traffic. One can see in the google link, (https://www.google.co.in/maps/place/Coimbatore,+Tamil+Nadu/@11.0177435,76.8801917,12z/data=!4m2!3m1!1s0x3ba859af2f971cb5:0x2fc1c81e183ed282!5m1!1e1) how the Coimbatore traffic is in red zone in any time. “Come, Commute congest free”, should be the vision of Coimbatore. Metro train project now becomes not an option but a must.

All roads in the city & especially along the main carriage ways - pavements should be made available for pedestrians. The pavements should not be allowed to encroach by vendors or parking. Proper crossings should be made available for pedestrians at regular junctions on the roads with foot over paths/subways at busy road intersections. The pedestrian should be able to activate the signals while crossing and sound alarm has to be place to show the motorists that the pedestrians are crossing

It is true . In china small towns minimum width is 16 lanes . Building starts at 50 feet away from footpath . All road junction corners has free left that reduces one third of the traffic , corner buildings are avoided by introducing chambers at 4 corners equal to the road width . Indian Govt. shall nationalize the Road junction corners equal to width of the road . This small investment will increase average vehicle flow by 50 % , doubles the speed , saves time money and fuel waste .

Hello again, There is an excellent way to treat and save water. It is currently not available in the market. We have developed and tested this decentralised waste water treatment plant. It is a new product. It will be a very useful addition to make our city smarter by employing these systems in community basis. Kindly do let me know if anyone can link me to the right people to implement these systems in our city and Interested people can write a pm. looking forward to it. Thank you.

Sir, please look at the picture attached. It is a picture of a 50 Lane Expressway G-4 in China. Sir, CAN WE EVER THINK OF CONSTRUCTING AN EXPRESS HIGHWAY LIKE THIS IN INDIA?

Please close all open drainage canals, and stop sewage entering storm water drains. It is polluting the areas and water channels nearby. Also make roads safe for every one and add more link roads to decongest traffic. Also, Coimbatore badly needs mass transit. How about making the Podhanur to Coimbatore juntion as a metro/electric train system for local passenger traffic, and shift the current Coimbatore junction to Podhanur.

See is believing- I suggest we mount WIFI cameras on all the govt owned transport vechiles (buses / trucks / vans / 2 wheelers ) and connect them to various depts of public health / police / transport / roads / garbage clearance and many more ,these cameras will give live feed of the quality of roads / movement of vechiles / traffic violations/ garbage on streets / illegal hoardings / misuse of power for political rallies / road side tree cuttings / public behaviour in bus stands and many more

The followings may be few suggestive measures for a smart and clean city: 1. Street washing before sweeping; 2. Use Bio-disposers to dispose kitchen / bio-degradable waste directly to sewer network. 3. Areas without sewer network may be provided with Bio-digesters for tackling bio-degradable waste. 4. Manage all type of Solid Waste separately without co-mingling for efficient reuse / recycling. & 5. Prefer to provide decentralised sanitation facilities, community managed & self sustainable.
