The objective of the Group is to brainstorm and invite considered views of all stakeholders in Chemicals & Petrochemical sector that include polymers, plastics, synthetic rubber basic Chemicals, pesticide, dyes etc. The sector is touching the lives of each and every member of the society. This sector has tremendous potential of growth vis a vis the contribution of this sector in the world economy, especially in the manufacturing sector in developed countries. The sector also offers employment opportunities for a large population.

As the sector is already liberalized, which has also resulted in a rapid increase in imports, there is a need to review this situation and to promote domestic manufacturing by attracting large investments and providing facilitative policy regime. At the same time, sustainability and environment friendliness of the industries in this sector also has to be ensured as an initiative as part of ‘MAKE IN INDIA’ campaign of the new government.

Comments and views are invited from the stakeholder at large.

Hi, Please provide more facilities to farmers of India... They are more important for us. India being an Agriculture base, imports many things. this is affecting our economy. Also, farmers are not benefited from many YOJANAs. Third party is earning more and more. I request government to look for the benefit of farmers and give them proper facilities. This will increase our economy. Also, in the development perspective don't allow to cut more trees.

Uplift of backward communities could not be completed during past 65 years. The reason is resources are limited as compared to demand. One of the treatment to resolve the issue is, classification of these communities based on creamy layer and non creamy layer within the community and give preference to non creamy layer for filling the vacancies.

In Petroleum sector Deptt of Explosives has a major role to play, but the Deptt functioning is maired with nepotism and wide ranging corruption, for each and every visit money is being asked to get the job done. We need to make the Deptt more transparent and rules need to be reworked.

Industries in India are not safe to personal and environment. Govt should focus on bringing industries to international standards, then Make in India will become real. Financially we can now attract the world but they always have unsafe operation of India in mind. Govt should focus only on policy for safeguarding people - rest will follow naturally, no rocket science.

FOR LAST 5 CONSECUTIVE BUDGETS THERE IS VERY LITTLE GOVTS. HAS DONE FOR SMALL AND MEDIUM SECTORS. I CAN GIVE VERY STRIKING EXAMPLE OF CORRUPTION HERE. CENTRAL AND STATE GOVERNMENTS ARE GIVING SUBSIDIES FOR MACHINERY PURCHASE IN ONE OR OTHER FOAM. HARDLY 10 % KNOWS ABOUT IT AND IF THEY DO,IT IS THROUGH AGENTS WHO ADOPTS GIVE AND TAKE POLICI THANKS TO GOVT.OFFICERS. 15 TO 20 % HAS TO BE SPENT FOR THIS TYPE OF SUBSIDIES.GOVT OFFICERS,BANK MANAGERS, AGENTS ARE INVOLVED. How we can provide maximum employment ? just by uplifting sectors that creates maximum jobs. there are two sectors giving maximum employment .ONE IS TEXTILE AND ANOTHER IS SOFTWARE. WHILE SOFTWARE IS VERY MUCH IN DEMAND AND WE ARE DOING WEL, I THINK IF BUDGET CAN BOOST TEXTILE INDUSTRY WHITCH IS OUT OF SHAPE; WE CAN SORT OUT PROBLEMS OF UNEMPLED IF THIS SECTOR LOOKS UP. MAJOR PROBLEM OF THIS SECTOR SEEMS TO BE UNREMUNERATIVE RATES AND BAD IMAGE DUE TO FINANCIAL CRISIS.

India produces 235m tonnes of food grain from 135m hectares of land whereas China produces 450m tonnes of grain from 100m hectaresIncreasing per hectare production, with the help of advanced machineries can solve the problem. Government can look at easy loans and subsidies to farmers can help them step up their equipments and advance their skills. IT-led solutions like Reuter's Market Light and TCS's mKrishi are brilliant examples of offering advisory services to farmers and enhancing their sk
