The Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) is a highly vibrant and dynamic sector of the Indian economy with over 6 Crore units, providing employment to 11 Crore+ people (after Agriculture), having 28% share of GDP and 40% of exports. Like other sectors, MSME also has been adversely affected in terms of productivity during COVD 19. Accordingly, the efficiency and productivity of MSME assume further significance to achieve overall objectives of economic development and a V shape recovery of the Indian Economy.

Draft National Policy for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in India is a continuation of various measures taken to date to promote competitiveness, technology upgradation, infrastructure, cluster development, dedicated credit, procurement of products & financial assistance to MSME.

Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises invites stakeholders, Industry Associations, MSME units and general public to share suggestions and comments on the Draft Policy. The purpose is to firm up adaptive and inclusive National Policy for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises.

A national policy is a course or principle of action adopted or proposed by the state. Aspirants preparing for civil services exam, need to be aware of various national policies.  Some of the major national policies in news include National Health Policy, National Education Policy, National Cyber Security Policy etc.

Schemes announced by central govt such as CGTMSE do not transmit well at the bank level. Banks are very risk averse to this scheme and try to dissuade MSMEs away from this, towards hard collateral. So I’m afraid these schemes remain largely on paper and transmit well only for creditworthy companies. It doesn’t benefit the ones whose traditional metrics make them a slight credit risk on paper. Then why have the central govt even be a guarantor

Respected sir, The most of MSME's owners are not aware about their market. To understand their market and get aware about their needs there must be MSME helping centers. That will giive proper guidelines for them

Respected sir Vande matram I just want to say that msme sector need fund and support at low rate. Because it competes with larger scale units.suppoet like information and sales chain. Real state and auto sector are no doubt larger sector but without msme growth not possible. If msme grows all industries will grow. My opinion. Please consider. Regards Murari

Dear sir For MSME to succeed, apart from the products initially planned and produced, they should know the products imported in huge quantities. Hence, there should be a list available to them to study and explore the possibility of developing the same. It is suggested that the list may be prepared along with the value and quantity of imports and the same may be made available in the website
