The Ministry of Civil Aviation has issued draft rules to ensure ease of using drones in India on the basis of trust, self-certification, and non-intrusive monitoring. The Drone Rules, 2021, once notified, will supersede the UAS Rules, 2021, which came into force on March 12 this year.

The Rules aim to make the process of owning, possessing, exporting, importing, manufacturing, trading, leasing, operating, transferring, or maintaining a drone in India, simpler and hassle-free. For that, the draft rules seek to abolish the requirement of various approvals, ranging from certificate of conformance, certificate of maintenance, import clearance, to student remote pilot licences.

Besides, it proposes the development of drone corridors for cargo deliveries and a drone promotion council to be set up to facilitate a drone-friendly regulatory regime in the country.

The ministry of civil aviation (MoCA) on Thursday released the updated draft Drone Rules, 2021 for public consultation, which will soon replace the UAS (unmanned aircraft system) Rules 2021 that was released on 12 March 2021, the ministry said in asstatement.According to the draft Drone Rules 2021, operating drones without unique identification number will not be allowed, unless exempted. Please mention the demarcated height and radius so that drones do not come close to strategic installations and government buildings.All drones will have to be registered annually with fees ,to bring in revenue.All college students must take prior approval from the Dean before registration.Any onto ward incident ,it will be the responsibility of the user and the college.

SIR IT SHOULD BE MANDATORY TO HAVE LICENSE WITH EVERY PERSON OR AGENCY USING DRONES. ONE PERSON ONE DRONE. NEW LICENSE FOR NEW DRÒNE. GET THE DAMAGED DRONE FIRST CHECKED THAT WHETHER IT IS REALLY DAMAGED. CERTAIN TIME SHOULD BE FIXED FOR DRONE USAGE FOR DIFFERENT PURPOSES. ALSO CERTAIN RANGE OF FLYING THE DRONE SHOULD BE FIXED. DRONE SHOULD LOOK ACTUAL NOT LIKE BIRDS OR KITES EXCEPT FOR SECURITY. DRONES SHOULD BE MADE COSTLY SO THAT EVERYONE CANNOT AFFORD IT.if these are broken punish people.

इस कानून में इस प्रकार का प्रावधान किया जाए ताकि हमारी सेना और राष्ट्रभक्ति को कहीं से कोई आज ना आए और कोई भी उंगली न उठा सके।

Sir, I feel we have to have specific purpose and situation to use the drone because of security reasons. Identification and route of movement should automatically come in a supervising /control system like mobile tracking.
