Since I am a science student, the cost of studying is also high. Not only me, but many other families in India have faced this problem. Recently I came to know about the Indira Gandhi Scholarship, which is available only to the only daughter of the parents while studying for a post-graduate course. But unfortunately there is no scholarship program for under graduate course for "single girl child " if this scholarship or some other scholarship program is introduced, which will be given to the children of the only daughter of the family. It would be good if some kind of scholarship is introduced. Thousands and even millions of girls like me are behind due to this. A suggestion on how we can streamline the KYC process for the financial institutions in India. The idea, in brief, is that all KYC data, though collected by individual FIs, will be held in a central repository and not with individual FIs. FIs will connect with the central repository (which could be CKYCRR 2.0) and download the information basis the unique number that will be assigned to each individual. This will save the botheration of doing KYC again and again by each FI and also ensure that the deficiencies that currently exist in the process of doing KYC are overcome. The benefits are summarised below: a) Persons will have to submit their KYC information only once, except for the updates that might be required from time to time. b) All REs will have to obtain and update the CDD information only once. c) The information obtained on an individual will establish him to be so beyond any reasonable doubt. d) All REs will have access to the same identification info
