In the latest episode of Mann Ki Baat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has urged Indian children to engage with their grandparents and ask them about their life as children: what sports they played, which theatre or cinema they went to, which relatives they visited, festivals they celebrated, and so on.

These stories would not just take the children to India back then, but also be an invaluable treasure for the family, to be cherished forever.

Here’s an opportunity for all children (and adults too), to interview their loved Dada-Dadis, Nana-Nanis or any other elder in the family, like ‘cub reporters’; video record the same; and share with the MyGov family!

Our parents lot of wonders for us. That is why they became inspiring as well as proud parents for us. They gave us every thing like education, family and health and wealth. We can't return them as our gratitude, except following their foot steps to become Inspiring Parents like them. Konduri Kasivisveswara Rao

left my mother father in 1968and startt traveling to badrinath kedarnath pushpatinath amarnath by foot for 4years after 4years returned kashmir saw my mother father .after some days left village almost lived alone or with old saints

I did not see my dadaji or dadiji पर पापा की बातें सुनकर ऐसा लगता है कि वे अभ भी उनके साथ उनके पास है। actually आज मेरे बाबा जहां पर भी है वह भी दादा और दादी जी के कारण पापा बचपन से ही बहुत ज्यादा गरीब थे। उनकी अपनी जीविका चलाने के लिए बहुत मेहनत करनी पड़ती थी पर उन्होंने कभी भी हार नहीं मानी ना ही मेरे दादा और दादी जी ने। दादा और दादी जी ने मेरे पापा की पढ़ाई कभी भी नहीं रोकी चाहे घर में पैसे हो या ना हो। वे हमेशा कहते थे कि अगर मेहनत करोगे तो अपने पैरों पर खड़े होंगे।

Sir सबके Grandparents के बचपन खुशनुमा, खुशहाल और खूबसूरत नहीं होते । My Grandfather was 7 when he had to support the family because of the retarding mental health of his father. He used to go on trains and on beaches to sell peanuts, wash cars or buses to get something from the market to sell or have their food for a single time in a day. And he never shares all this with us, my mother used to say this to me that how his childhood was full of struggles and how he came out of it as a Hero.

I did not see my dada ji, but my dadi was very good lady. Every person of my tiny village was very respectful to my dadi. My dadi was very helpfull to the needy people. She always loved children and never allowed anyone to beat children. I think, what am I today, is all due to best sanskaras of my parents and especially of grand parents. I do not know where are their pure souls, but I am sure wherever they may be, they are in peace as they had done good job when they were on earth.

mujhe yaad hai mere dada ji to nhi the mere sath par meri dadi thi, we mujhe hmesha kahani sunaya karti thi aur kahani aisa jisme wo ek hero hota tha jise mai apne aap ko rakh kar dekhta tha aur sochta tha hamesha ki mai bhi bada hokar aisa banunga
