The draft NHP 2015 has been formulated and placed in public domain for stakeholder consultations. Suggestions/comments/feedback are invited on the policy which inter-alia include the following broad areas: goals, principles, objectives, policy directions, Investment, Preventive and Promotive Health, Organisation of Public Health Care Delivery, Human Resources for Health, Financing of Health Care and engaging the private sector, Regulatory framework, Medical technologies, ICT for Health and Health Information Needs, Knowledge for Health, Governance, Legal framework for healthcare and the Right to Health.

The last date for submission of your comments is 10th February, 2015.

There are many factors that can contribute to misconduct: poor training, professional cuts or profit sharing to clinics and practitioners , ineffective ethics programs, shrinking markets for analytical services, and greater economic incentives for laboratories to implement cost-cutting measures are leading to wrong or fake diagnostics reports, thereby leading to wrong diagnosis and prognosis of patients health conditions and endangering patients life.

Of particular concern is the fraudulent practice of using improper methods and techniques in blood samples analysis to falsify test results and to make the control samples appear to meet quality control requirements and to finally give patients normal results or slightly higher normal ranges to meet the date today practice and save reagents and machine expenses. It is seen more in laboratory runned by unqualified individual with no medical or with minimal diagnostics knowledge.

In a continuing effort to deter these practices, As an responsible citizen and qualified healthcare professional , working hard and seek an appropriate justice , to prosecute all of Diagnostic laboratory fraud.
