The girl child today faces inequality and gender based discriminations even before birth. The nation cannot move forward unless women are given opportunity to realize their full potential and contribute to nation building.

Given this context, please share your thoughts, ideas, suggestions and feedback on how we can change the discriminatory social construct in order to celebrate the girl child. What should be our communication strategy for improving the situation and reach out to people?

Every Girl child has the birth right for education, better health, good food, healthy environment and family support. If a girl is supported by all family members then she can be Sunita Williams, Sania Mirza, Mere Kom and many more. Help educate Girl child, help develop India. Jai Hind

Without educating the girl child of the country we can't hope for a developed nation. Women play a vital role in the all round progress of a country. If we want to make democracy successful, women must be educated. They are the real builders of happy homes. It is said that if we educate a man, we educate a man only, but if we educate a woman, we educate the whole family. This highlights the importance of female education. It is a fact that women are the first teachers of their children.

The panchayats should compulsory comprise only of women. Let the women run the panchayats and decide the future at village levels. This will go a long way in ending discrimination against women. Give them confidence. End male dominance. If this happens at the grass root level it will usher in the revolution and change needed in the society to save the girl and educate the girl. This will also help weed out many other social evils plaguing our society.

So as per me first we have to start from ourselves and educate our kids about the Girls respect.we should have a special subject in our education system which tell our kids the Important of a female in our life and we should educate and train our Social and Digital media also to show the females in a respectable manner not as a showpiece. We need to work from grass root level to educate peoples to look the girls same as the boys..I think we need to spread awareness in the world to respect females

Be it dowry, Be it safety of women, Be it woman education, Be it women heath - First we have to rise above our very conservative and narrow feudal thinking, the slave and master thought and treat all women and girls as equals. I think this has got more to do with social change rather than making laws. Laws we have enough. We have to change our thinking and our point of view. Like Swamiji (Swami Vivekananda) said change change and change form within. Make girl education compulsory.
