The girl child today faces inequality and gender based discriminations even before birth. The nation cannot move forward unless women are given opportunity to realize their full potential and contribute to nation building.

Given this context, please share your thoughts, ideas, suggestions and feedback on how we can change the discriminatory social construct in order to celebrate the girl child. What should be our communication strategy for improving the situation and reach out to people?

It's time that each one of us should stand against the girl child abuses and my humble request to honorable PM to please strengthen the mechanisms involved in it.

Its all about education and awareness. The more we ensure that people in villages and small towns are educated and are made aware of the gender equality and the more they see Govt encouraging the girl child in education and jobs the more quickly change will come. I think it should be made mendatory for the private sector to employ 50% females that will be a huge plus for them and in turn will send message all across.

I've just signed up and am still trying to figure things around here. I really wanted to "Do" and not just "discuss" but it seems like there's a lot more discussion than action, which is disappointing. It's impossible to figure strategies to fix any social issues without first understanding the issue at hand. That needs ground research. Otherwise we do not understand the real beliefs, practices and attitudes that are causing the problem. I first recommend studying the reasons behind this issue.

Respected Hon'ble PM, INSTEAD OF PROVIDING RESERVATION ,PRIORITY IN JOBS BASED ON CASTISM,RESERVATION SHOULD BE PROVIDED TO THOSE PARENTS WHO ARE HAVING ONE OR TWO GIRL CHILD. COMPULSORY SELF DEFENCE ACTIVITY IN THE SCHOOLS AND COLLEGES SUCH AS JUDO,TIQUANDO etc. BY THIS WAY THEY CAN PROTECT HER SELF.

sir , i belong from a rural area , my father is farmer so, many farmers realized that BJP govt don't take any action for agriculture implementation , they purchased a fertilizer DAP packet by 1145-1200 rupees per packet but they got price of rice crops only 1500 rupees per 100kg, it will be very disadvantageous for farmers because they invest one 1200 rupees packet at one beegha and other expenses like labour ,irrigation , so they find themself in very loss ,so plz consider it

government can make policies the past governments have done that too... but i think a timely check is important to ensure whether the planned activities are being carried out or no... there has to be a certain sense of acknowledgement. If there's going to be nobody who's inspecting about the allocation of funds or resources then the problem of non-happening of policies is going to persist till ages....so i believe govt. needs to play its role a little more strictly...
