In a survey,it was found that in Bihar there was an increase in the no.of girls going to school because of cycles. Through a govt.scheme, girls were directly provided free cycles and not money to buy them.So even if the school is little far away, they were able to travel easily. But still due to so much of news of girls being abducted and rape, there is a sense of fear among many people due to which they are not sending there girls to school. So its very necessary to take parents into confidence.

'Kanyashree Prakalpa, a West Bengal govt. scheme that provides scholarship to girls from economically-backward backgrounds, has been given international recognition by the United Kingdom’s Department for International Development and UNICEF. State representatives have been invited to the Girl Summit 2014 in London, in June, and talk about the scheme to a global audience.'(https://www.youtube.com/)In India where almost 24% population are BPL, govt. should take/ follow such steps like this.
