The voluntary efforts like tree plantation drives etc do not help much.Most of such rituals are meant for media publicity only. If we really want a 'Green India', a separate body which may be named as ' Tree Plantation Authority of India' must be set up with the task of massive tree plantation and maintenance activities. We need to have a professional approach and do it in a business like manner with the active involvement of Volunteers, if needed.

1) All thermal power plant should have 5-10% non conventional power plant. 2) Large industries should produce 10-15% power of their demand using non conventional power tech. 3) All big housing complex should have solar water heater and solar street light 4) Use of High efficiency electrical motors can be encouraged 5) Power loss / theft to be monitored strictly amd accountability should be established 6) Rain water harvesting should be encouraged.
