Case study of “wash room + Kitchen waste water recovery,
Point of concern,
1. Total water consumption of 2 bed bedroom house, with 02 washroom and for a family of 4 -5 people may be 800 to 900 ltrs per day,
2. out of this total consumption 200 to 250 ltrs used in toilet flushing,
3. 100 to 150 ltrs water consumed for community, gardening,
4. For building of 100 similar flats total consum, may be 90000 ltrs per day, can be reduced to 63000 to 65000 ltrs,
Our Thought process,
If we recycle 30 to 40% of water from the waste water from Kitchen and wash room, that can be used for Toilet flushing and gardening,
That exercise will reduce the water requirement for by 30 -40 % ,
That exercise will also reduce the load of conventional STP, by 30 to 40 %,
This exercise required a separate plumbing network for toilet flushing only, and gardening water,
We have developed a filtration system to clean the waste water well before going to the conventional STP,
