प्रत्येक स्मार्ट सिटी में अपने स्थान, जनसांख्यिकी, संस्कृति और अन्य कारकों जैसी विशिष्ट सुविधाएं होगीं, वहीं सभी शहरों कि सामान्य समस्याओं के लिए एक ही स्मार्ट समाधान हो सकता है। इस प्रतियोगिता के माध्यम से सामान्य समस्याओं के लिए इसी तरह के स्मार्ट और अभिनव समाधानों की पहचान करने का प्रयास किया जा रहा है। इस श्रेणी में प्रतिभागी को शॉर्ट-लिस्टिंग में सक्षम होने के लिए पुछे गए सभी सवालों के उत्तर के साथ पूर्ण विवरण भी प्रस्तुत किया जाना चाहिए। प्रश्न- 1. निम्नलिखित 21 स्मार्ट समाधानों में से, ऐसे 3 समाधान का चयन करें जिसे सभी भारतीय शहरों के लिए लागू किया जाना चाहिए और इसे स्पष्ट करने के लिए एक संक्षिप्त विवरण (अधिकतम 50 शब्द) भी लिखें। 2. ऐसे किसी 'स्मार्ट' सुझाव का वर्णन करें जिसे आपने किसी अन्य शहरों में देखा है (दुनिया में कहीं भी) और जिसे आप अपने शहर में भी देखना चाहते हैं। 'स्मार्ट विचार' का मतलब कम संसाधनों से अधिक कार्य करना है। 3. ऐसे 3 तरीकों का वर्णन करें जो भारतीय शहरों में अमीरों और गरीबों के बीच की खाई को कम कर सके। 4. अपने स्थानीय नगर निगम के बारे में पता 5 आवश्यक तथ्यों की सूची दें, जिसे सभी नागरिकों के लिए उपलब्ध होना चाहिए। प्रविष्टि की समय सीमा • प्रविष्टियों को mygov.in पोर्टल द्वारा शनिवार, 20 जून, 2015 से 23.59 घंटे (11:59) पर ऑनलाइन प्रस्तुत किया जा सकता है। मूल्यांकन प्रविष्टियों का मूल्यांकन निम्नलिखित मानदंडों के आधार पर किया जाएगाः • मत क्षमता (50%) • अभिनव (50%) पुरस्कार प्रत्येक श्रेणी में दो विजेताओं को निम्नलिखित राशि के नकद पुरस्कार के साथ-साथ, स्मार्ट सिटी मिशन के लॉन्च पर प्रधानमंत्री द्वारा 25 जून 2015 को विज्ञान भवन, नई दिल्ली में एक प्रशस्ति पत्र से सम्मानित किया जाएगाः • प्रथम पुरस्कार - 40,000 रु. • द्वितीय पुरस्कार - 25,000 रु. विजेता सुझाव को कार्यान्वयन के समाधान के रूप में 100 स्मार्ट शहरों के साथ साझा किया जाएगा तथा पायलट परियोजनाओं के लिए भी इस सुझाव पर विचार किया जाएगा। • इस श्रेणी में प्रतिभागी को शॉर्ट-लिस्टिंग में सक्षम होने के लिए पुछे गए सभी सवालों के उत्तर के साथ पूर्ण विवरण भी प्रस्तुत किया जाना चाहिए। • प्रत्येक श्रेणी के लिए प्रतिभागियों (एस) द्वारा प्रस्तुत प्रविष्टियों का मुल्याकंन स्वतंत्र रूप से और योग्यता के आधार पर किया जाएगा। एक से अधिक श्रेणी में शॉर्ट-लिस्टिंग के मामले में, एक भागीदार को केवल एक श्रेणी के लिए ही पुरस्कार राशि प्राप्त होगी। • प्रत्येक उत्तर की लंबाई 250 या उससे कम शब्दों में होनी चाहिए। पुरस्कार राशि के नियम एवं शर्तें और विवरण के लिए यहां क्लिक करें

1) to move ahead in path of progress active participation of citizens and specially civil society which will play the role for encouraging such participation is very much important this can solve various problems from its root.2)public transport should be promoted reason-the no. of vehicles on road would reduce resulting less jams,other is govt. can generate revenue and also will be helpful in reducing pollution 3)technical education should be provided to mainly to backward areas

3. Describe 3 ways that Indian cities can reduce the gap between rich and poor. • Eliminate the Ownership to any property after a certain period. (Or) 60 % Govt. -40 % Individual ownership can prevail. This will remove the excessive desire by the rich to own more and more property. • Property Limit for an Individual to be set to Standards. • Education being standardized to people of all sectors, both Rich and the Poor will bring equal opportunity for career growth and development.

(Contd. From 3) We can give auction to companies itself to collect recycle garbage. As it is in transparent cover, each company can collect these garbage and use by themselves. Battery shell also can be thrown separately in recycle garbage. Sorting of this near by place and collection can be on item basis from various collection centre. Or else public transport can be utilized if small amount has been collected. Because it does not smell, good packing can be done (contd5)

2. A ‘smart’ idea that you would like to see replicated in my own city. E-Governance The Government Offices which redress grievances of people through Complaints in Paper Form should be eliminated. All Grievances to Govt. authorities should be handled online and be escalated online based on the criticality and aging of the concern. This eases the Public in approaching and availing Government services effectively. This will aid in arresting critical issues immediately and reduce pending cases.

Intelligent Traffic Management System: • Promote usage of Electric powered bi-cycles which are not much used in India. A single person going within 10 km radius using Heavy Vehicles, SUVs should be fined. • Construction of Fly-Overs and Expansion of Roads • Smart Systems that automatically signals and clears depending on the density of the lane is to be improved. • Changes in the Office timings in Metros, a certain sector can work from 7.30 to 3.30, others from 9.00 to 5.00 or 10.30 to 6.30

Waste to Energy and Fuel: India is the 2nd mostly populated country in the World. In view to this, the demands for Energy and Fuel are increasing rapidly. With the increased usage of Fossil fuels which are on the verge of extinction for the next generation, it is high time to develop smart solutions to recycle domestic and industrial Wastes to tap more energy and become Self-Sufficient with increasing demands. 1. Out of the 21 smart solutions, the selected 3 solutions are as follows Citizen Engagement: Citizens should shoulder responsibility and feel ownership in making his city ‘Smart’. Smart City not only means ‘Making a City fully equipped with all the latest Technologies, but actually means developing the Citizens of the City, equipping themselves to be part in experiencing the smartness in themselves and by themselves. It comes through Volunteering Activities by citizens to get awareness.

Reduce the gap between rich & poor. *Poor should be self reliable. *Training schools in village level according to the industry type demand on that particular region. *Encouraging big entrepreneurs to setup new industries in backward areas by providing subsidies and rebates. *Easy loans and minimize interest on starting new industries in such areas. *Facilitate businesses to conduct their business in backward areas. *Business houses are obliged for the health and education of these people.
