A project report on tiger conservation that I had prepared in 2009 for a Forest Policy course (Oregon State University) is attached. The report outlines the significance of the tiger in the Indian ecosystem and suggests measures for conservation, some of which have been taken from Project Lion in Gujarat.

Dear Sir, The Ministry of Environment & Forests suffered a 25% budget cut during the 2015-16 Financial Year. I request you to improve the allocation of funds this year. India is a biodiversity hotspot and it is our duty to preserve this biodiversity and pass it on to future generations. Moreover, tigers (the top most predator in our ecosystem) play a crucial role in sustaining the health of our forest ecosystems. Thanks, Venkatesh
