एक बार फिर हर खासो-ओ-आम ने उम्मीदें पाली हैं। विभिन्न वर्गों के लोग सरकार से कुछ ऐसा चाहते हैं, जिससे रोजमर्रा की जिंदगी में राहत मिल सके। नौकरीपेशा से लेेकर उद्यमी तक आयकर और निवेश सीमा बढ़ाने की बात कर रहा है तो गृहणियां रसोई गैस से लेकर रोजमर्रा की चीजों के दाम कम होने की उम्मीद कर रही हैं। यानि सभी यह चाहते हैं कि आम बजट महंगाई से निजात दिलाने के साथ ही आय के स्त्रोत बढ़ाने वाला हो, जिससे रोजगार के अवसर पैदा हों।

ऊं नमः शिवाय। इस नए वर्ष पर मैं अपने कार्य द्वारा जरूरतमंदों के चेहरे पर मुस्कुराहट लाने की कोशिश करुंगी क्योंकि किसी को रुलाना तो बहुत ही आसान काम है, लेकिन किसी को हंसाना मुश्किल कार्य है। मैं अगर किसी जरूरतमंद की, चेहरे पर मुस्कुराहट लाने में सफल होती हूं तो, उस जरूरतमंद से कई अधिक, मुझे स्वयं को खुशी होती है। मैं जब भी इस तरह के कार्य करती हूं तो, मैं निस्वार्थ भाव से करती हूं, क्योंकि निस्वार्थ भाव से ही किया गया कार्य, असली सेवा है।साथ ही, मैं सड़कों पर रहने वाले उन बेजुबानों की भी, अपनी सामर्थ्य अनुसार, उनकी सेवा करती हूं। ऐसा करने से, मुझे अंदर से बहुत ही सुखद अनुभूति होती है। उन्हें भी हमारी तरह भूख लगती है, ठंड लगती है, उनके लिए हम सबको कुछ न कुछ करना चाहिए क्योंकि वे पूरी तरह हम मानव जाति पर ही निर्भर है। वे अपनी समस्या किसी से बोल भी नहीं सकते हैं, हमें इस बात को समझना चाहिए।हमें एक स्वस्थ तथा समृद्ध राष्ट्र के निर्माण में सहयोग करना चाहिए‌।
