Making one person in every family digitally literate is one of the integral components of the Prime Minister’s vision of a ‘Digital India’. National Digital Literacy Mission (NDLM) or Digital Saksharta Abhiyan (DISHA) envisages provision of digital literacy training to 52.5 Lakh persons, one in every eligible household of the country. Anganwadi workers, ASHA workers and authorized ration dealers have also been included in this scheme. The objective is to impart basic ICT skills which would enable the citizen to use IT and related applications and participate actively in the democratic process and further enhance opportunities for their livelihood.

Kindly share your thoughts to promote National Digital Literacy Mission (NDLM) or Digital Saksharta Abhiyan (DISHA) scheme to educate digitally illiterate, and help in this mission to reduce digital divide at the rural areas and at the grass-root level.

To know more about the scheme, kindly log-on to National Digital Literacy Mission (NDLM) or Digital Saksharta Abhiyan (DISHA) scheme website www.ndlm.in

My view is that the entire education system is to be reviewed, All state governments should stop promoting science and mathematics in regional languages as the children will face difficulties in catching up with students from English medium school as grownups.

We need to get villages connected to internet overcoming all the obstacles as Indian villages are in worst conditions.Rather than smart cities we need to move further to smart villages. When villages become smart but obviously the cites will get smarter.#SmartVillages #DigitalIndia #DigitalSakshartaAbhiyan

The major problem not to get illerate in India due to government schools not in good position for poverty people.Firstly, make school & colleges in good position so that all poverty peoples get good education & better life because "siksha h to kal h".For that Indian government makes strong decision that all central & state employees children are have to be studied in these schools & colleges, so automatically facility will be available in these two grounds, all peoples get digital.Jai Hind.

Creation independent State Rural Broadband Network & Digital Inclusion Ministry : State Broadband Network & Separate Ministry & Secretary level Officers and focused Department at each state level and Union Government Level .Creating Ministry of State Rural Broadband Network under Separate Minister & Department which is separate from Ministry of ICT or Department of IT. This would bring execution focus and execution velocity to achieve the target.
