Share innovative ideas on sustainable EEE Products

Electrical and Electronic Equipment ( EEE ) and materials are one of the biggest challenges to sustainability. EEE are responsible for highly complex waste generation, energy-intensive manufacturing, usage and waste processing.

Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY) observes Swachhata Pakhwada 2022 from 1st February 2022 to 15th February 2022 promoting ‘E-waste se Raksha- Swachhata hi Suraksha’. Citizens are invited to share their ideas on how EEE products and materials can be made more sustainable.

We value your suggestions which would be instrumental in encouraging efforts towards sustainable practices in Electrical and Electronic products and spreading the awareness about same.

The best entries from the citizens will be identified by the Ministry and will be featured on the MyGov page.

The last date to receive suggestions is 15th February 2022.

It is time to discuss about how handle and use electric and electronic products. Completely avoid and reduce it is not possible. Instead think for an another way to use it safely and manage this waste. Immediate need of stations to collect such waste for considerable amount and encourage them to hand over there. So that this waste would not throw on streets.

Dear Modiji For increasing GST collection Govt has given free hand to produce more products of less durability. so the people is also becoming habitual to use and throw policy which is beneficial for company but increasing EEE garbage . my request to Govt is that issue guidelines for company as well as for the people who are using EEE products should be mandatory for certain years for example minimum 10 years.

Dear Sir Before 10 to 15 years we we're using EEE products very carefully and that products are having durability of 15 to 20 years. but nowadays Electric and electronic products were not even lasting for 1 year. because of that commercialization EEE garbage is increasing. I feel that Govt is fully responsible for this situation.

Dear Modiji EEE products became essential for human life. nothing happens without the help of EEE. but once it gets unused we are trying to throw it in Garbage and taking another one without knowing the harmful effect of garbage of EEE products. regarding this matter I would like to suggest that Govt should trained every household or students from that household to make reuse of EEE products or to make best out of waste from EEE product.
