The objective of the Group is to brainstorm and invite considered views of all stakeholders in Chemicals & Petrochemical sector that include polymers, plastics, synthetic rubber basic Chemicals, pesticide, dyes etc. The sector is touching the lives of each and every member of the society. This sector has tremendous potential of growth vis a vis the contribution of this sector in the world economy, especially in the manufacturing sector in developed countries. The sector also offers employment opportunities for a large population.

As the sector is already liberalized, which has also resulted in a rapid increase in imports, there is a need to review this situation and to promote domestic manufacturing by attracting large investments and providing facilitative policy regime. At the same time, sustainability and environment friendliness of the industries in this sector also has to be ensured as an initiative as part of ‘MAKE IN INDIA’ campaign of the new government.

Comments and views are invited from the stakeholder at large.

Ban Plastic to save India in retail and consumer at production (industrial sources itself), no amount of awareness and education can prevent abuse once it enters downstream. show alternatives like strong paper bags, jute bags, etc. as plastic cannot be produced in small or hidden scale it is easier to stop at heavy industries.

TEMPO, AUTO RICKSHAW, TAXI, SMALL TEMPO, TRUCKS ALL SHOULD RUN ON CNG. Any operator driving it on Kerosene or petrol or diesel should must be detained along with vehicle with penalty of Rs. 2 lac. This will force people to use only CNG. But first setup 20000 CNG stations across india. Every state must have 300 CNG stations. Highly polluted cities like Delhi Mumbai must have 100 CNG stations

Government should remove taxes from CNG vehicles and CNG to promote its use which will help us to save our valuable foreign currency reserve. Government must remove all taxes from hybrid vehicles and battery operated electric vehicles. This will reduce pollution also. Must apply heavy taxes on petrol and diesel vehicles. Also make compulsory to convert petrol vehicles to CNG vehicles. Pollution is creating issues like health hazard, environment damage, uncertain rains.

This is a very simple issue to be resolved. Ask every owner of the vehicle to book there vehicles thru there bank account only. Please make this mandatory to get vehicle pollution cards and insurance copy made available to bank. In case the owner is not submitting the renewal of vehicle documents every year then bank account should be frozen. If this type of rule is brought then automatically issue will be resolved automatically. Desicpline issues only.

A hesitant approach to rationalising some of massive, ill-targeted and corruption-ridden subsidies that plague India's economy. The two biggest ones now are for food and fertilisers, each amounting to about one lakh crores (inclusive of arrears). This despite the government's own reports (notably the Shanta Kumar report and the Expenditure Commission reports) favouring a phased transition towards direct cash transfers especially given the technical feasibility provided by the "JAM
