Instead of International Visits and losing on foreign reserves, people must start looking forward to exploring India, Indian Culture and same must be taken ahead by new generation. which will increase the tourism within India, more money supply in economy, more awareness to cleanliness and tourism will grow. It's a chain to reach to Incredible India...!!

Dear members, God has been kind enough on me by giving me the opportunity to travel in various parts of our beloved country. Even the remotest corner of India is so beautiful it can easily outclass any foreign land when it comes to natural and traditional gift. Sadly, we are not aware of it, for example- how many of us are aware about "Jatar Deul", a nearly 1,000 years old Temple dedicated to Mahadeva, situated at Kankandighi( Assembly area- Raidighi), at the southern corner of West Bengal?

What makes a destination tourist friendly? of course cleanliness. What makes a clean destination tourist friendly? greenery. What makes a green destination tourist friendly ? Easy Information. What makes a Informative destination tourist friendly ? Good and Smiling people. What makes this place tourist friendly ? Systematic and alive administration. What makes this place tourist friendly ? of course personal freedom. Ultimately its the freedom that makes a destination tourist friendly.

India is indeed incredible.its highest mountain peak is mount K2 at a height of 8611m located in gilgit in kashmir which is also 2nd in the world. But my DOUBT is in class 9 NCERT geography text book the name of K2 is not mentioned at all(pg 11)so when i searched for more info in wikipedia, it is given that mount K2 is the highest peak of PAKISTAN?!it even states that gilgit district is in pakistan.does this mean that our previous government has already given it away.or is it a PRINT MISTAKE.

All Districts should be given adequate funds for undertaking promotional activities. Every district should have flexibility in devising schemes with broad guidelines to involve citizens for extending facilities.

Presently, only a Directorate is there at state level to promote tourism in the state. Every District has a history, which needs to be marketed (like all cities in US / UK does), for which District Tourism Boards need to be constituted under the DC's with adequate funds. A Tourism Officer be posted in every district accountable to DC. There should be a competition amongst districts to attract foreign tourists. This way, we will have 622 ambassadors spread at district level to promote India
