The Central Government Ministries/ Departments and Central Public Sector Undertaking are mandated to procure 25% (as amended in 2018) of their annual value of goods or services from micro and small enterprises vide Public Procurement Order Notified vide S.O. 581 (E) dated 23rd March 2012. Under the policy, 358 items are exclusively reserved for procurement from MSEs which help in the promotion and growth of Micro and Small Enterprises and play a critical role in fostering inclusive growth in the country.

The existing list required a relook to find out the relevance in the present-day context of technological change, and the growth of small and micro enterprises. The Internal Technical Committee of the Ministry of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises has prepared a revised list of 469 items (including Goods & Services) to be reserved for exclusive procurement from MSEs.

Stakeholders, Industries associations, MSME units and the General public are invited to share their suggestions and comments on the list of 469 items reserved for exclusive purchase from MSEs under the Public Procurement Policy.

Overfishing is a grave threat to our oceans and the reason the MSC and our ecolabel exist. More than a third of fish stocks are estimated to be fished at unsustainable levels.

Fish and seafood with the blue label comes from a fishery that has been independently assessed on its impacts to wild fish populations and the ecosystems they're part of.

The blue MSC label is only applied to wild fish or seafood from fisheries that have been certified to the MSC Fisheries Standard, a set of requirements for sustainable fishing.

Most of the MSMEs are not contributing to make in India because of the import/export policy of the government. Even now we are importing so many essential items from other countries to fulfill the requirements of our population. We have to be ATMANIRBHAR by producing all sorts of edible items like rice wheat sugarcane vegetables etc. and defence products like machine guns armoury fighter jets and more aircraft carriers like INS Vikrant. We have to come to a state where we can be self sufficient and ready to export the products made in India to other countries. Plastic items like thin covers should be strictly banned and penalties should be levied on companies producing plastic covers.Only paper bags and cloth bags should be manufactured.More number of offshore oil drilling must be encouraged in river basins and sea coasts for producing petroleum products and thereby reducing oil imports. Fighter jets like Mig29 must be totally manufactured in our country and save billions of dollars
