The Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) is a highly vibrant and dynamic sector of the Indian economy with over 6 Crore units, providing employment to 11 Crore+ people (after Agriculture), having 28% share of GDP and 40% of exports. Like other sectors, MSME also has been adversely affected in terms of productivity during COVD 19. Accordingly, the efficiency and productivity of MSME assume further significance to achieve overall objectives of economic development and a V shape recovery of the Indian Economy.

Draft National Policy for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in India is a continuation of various measures taken to date to promote competitiveness, technology upgradation, infrastructure, cluster development, dedicated credit, procurement of products & financial assistance to MSME.

Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises invites stakeholders, Industry Associations, MSME units and general public to share suggestions and comments on the Draft Policy. The purpose is to firm up adaptive and inclusive National Policy for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises.

MSMEs are facing two challenges scarcity of working capital and regular customers government must make it mandatory for all the big units and the public institutions of profitability to purchase all the items as one of their ancillary partners without fail. The allocation of scarcity in time is another challenge and most of them are under debts of hefty amounts against abnormal rye of interests, this must be resolved to get sustainable development.

1) More emphasis should be given to MSMES as they are the engines of Growth which can be a employment provider to Indians. 2) A small video should be broadcasted by the Information Broadcasting Dept on all TV channels which will highlight the role of SMEs in Indias development. 3) Top 100 MSME owners in each State should be facilitated by the State Govt annually which will motivate all. 4) Entrepreneur ship lessons should be taught from 11 Standard which will motivate youngsters to be a part of job providers instead of job seekers. 5) A National Entrepreneurs digital portal should be made available so that all Entrepreneur can interact & network with each other. 6) Every Entrepreneur big or small should be given a Certificate of Appreciation by the Govt as a token for their contribution towards Nation Building as they have given employment to a large section of society.

Starting a business is difficult, running it is more difficult and closing the business is most difficult if you wish to come out of it. When you start a business you do not know what are the formalities you are supposed to do. So many permissions and registration have to be taken. Some may be GST, PF, ESI, factory license, factory building plan approval, fire NOC, consent to operate from pollution department, labour license, electricity connection and many more. These permits and lisense are same for all units. Government doesn't give any relaxation to MSME units, Why? Compliance is such a big issue that an entrepreneur has to think what is the main purpose of doing a business, making profit or fulfill paper formalities. I know many businessmen who do not wish that their sons should join the family business because good educated younger generation doesn't not want to take these headaches. They can perhaps earn more money and more respect in society by doing some job in MNC.
