The Ministry of Civil Aviation has issued draft rules to ensure ease of using drones in India on the basis of trust, self-certification, and non-intrusive monitoring. The Drone Rules, 2021, once notified, will supersede the UAS Rules, 2021, which came into force on March 12 this year.

The Rules aim to make the process of owning, possessing, exporting, importing, manufacturing, trading, leasing, operating, transferring, or maintaining a drone in India, simpler and hassle-free. For that, the draft rules seek to abolish the requirement of various approvals, ranging from certificate of conformance, certificate of maintenance, import clearance, to student remote pilot licences.

Besides, it proposes the development of drone corridors for cargo deliveries and a drone promotion council to be set up to facilitate a drone-friendly regulatory regime in the country.

Click here to view The draft of Draft Drone Rules, 2021, which is issued for public consultation for seeking feedback and suggestions.

The last date of submission is August 5, 2021.

Drone must now be openly allowed to use specially in Kashmir region because of it's sensitivity. with this government should take last document of Drone holders in form of their bio data and all the details thoroughly.

It should be not available openly , there must be some registration process. with this also the objective. government must keep clear and latest KYC records of Drone holders like the State Bank of India does for its customers with updated KYC.

Whenever we think of drone , our mind blows up when we see such an wonder that just four machenical wings which just carry a mchine body have reached the heights of goverment policy. Thing which just small children and all play have now are been starting to be used by the mighty government. Whatever is invented it shows us a trial , if it passes we keep it and if it fails than we can't keep it in our home . Thus if improvements are not done , government would not keep them .

Drone must not be used thoroughly... anybody who want to take it must go through proper registration regarding his identity also with clear explanation about the objective of Drone. it must be made mandatory in sensitive area like Kashmir. Awareness campaign about it in public is also recommended....
