One of the key priorities of the Government is to provide a non-adversarial and a responsive tax administration with the main objective of creating an environment conducive for achieving higher investments and growth. At the same time the focus is also on ensuring ease of doing business for the taxpayers. For individual taxpayers, Government endeavours to promote voluntary compliance by making compliance easy and reducing the cost of compliance for the taxpayers. These steps are aimed to ultimately result in buoyant revenue collections, reflecting higher growth, leading to higher standard of living and better quality of life for the citizens.

The Department of Revenue invites taxpayers and general public to provide innovative ideas and suggestions on tax policy and administrative issues with the objective of ease of doing business and reducing compliance cost for industries thereby facilitating buoyancy of revenue and increase in investment leading to higher growth.

Higher Tax slabs should be reduced to 15% . No tax upto 5 lacs. To encourage savings and to use the funds for long term infrastructural purposes, the limit under 80C to be increased to Rs 3 lacs, the funds should be invested in New Scheme for a period of 10 years, such as Pradhan Mantri Rastra Samiridhi Nidhi or like that.Pre mature withdrawal to be included in the Income of the Asessi.

The tax payer should receive an appreciation/general letter from the Sr. IT official that an individual has paid the tax and performed his duty as an Indian.Such certificate could be displayed by honest persons if they want like doctors/lawyers/others. At present only defaulters get a letter.

Growth in revenue depends on growth in economy which depends largely on the demand of goods by 75 to 80% of rural population which depends on increasing their purchasing power which can be boosted by inviting corporate sector to invest in agriculture and agro-based industries by giving them tax incentives and making farmers partners in the equity share and paying them also lease rent for their land.

ABOLISH INCOME TAX (IT) STARTED BY BRITISH -- with sole aim of impoverishing enterprising indians. Why indirect taxes, paid by all indians, not sufficient to run Government? Abolition of IT (not rate cut) will boost economy, by increasing purchasing power of middle class to buy goods/services available in market. Money can be saved by winding up all (non-DBT) welfare schemes of about 15 central ministries, where benefits are not reaching poor people, but going to middlemen (NGOs/Consultants)
