Respected Sir, The current reservation system in India gives unfair advantages to SC/ST/OBC/EWS candidates through lower cut-offs and age relaxations, while hardworking General category students often lose out despite scoring higher. This leads to stress, demotivation, and missed opportunities for many deserving students. The system should promote equal competition with the same cut-offs and age limits for all, while keeping a small quota for truly needy candidates. In today’s digital age, all students have access to study resources. Let merit decide, not caste. For example, in many entrance exams, General category students need very high marks, like 90%, to qualify. But someone from a reserved category might get the same seat with just 50–60%. That’s a difference of 30–40% — even though both students are applying for the same course, in the same college. Is this really fair? Does this system really reward hard work? Or is it only based on caste. PLEASE GIVE EQUAL CHANCE TO ALL.
