Taking the vision of the new National Education Policy (NEP) as envisioned under the dynamic
leadership of our Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, the Government of India has developed the National Credit Framework (NCrF) to enable the integration of academic and vocational domains to ensure flexibility and mobility between the two. NCrF would be a game changer by opening numerous options for further progression of students and inter-mingling of school and higher education with vocational education and experiential learning, thus mainstreaming skilling and vocational education. NCrF will also enable students who have dropped out of mainstream education to re-enter the education ecosystem.

NCrF will seamlessly integrate the credits earned through school education, higher education, and
vocational and skill education by encompassing the National Higher Education Qualification Framework (NHEQF), National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF) and National School Education Qualification Framework (NSEQF). It also supports educational acceleration for students with gifted learning abilities and Recognition of Prior Learning for the workforce that has acquired knowledge and skills informally through the traditional family inheritance, work experience or other methods. The inclusive umbrella framework aims to make the options for Multiple Entry-Multiple Exit accessible and applicable across higher education, school education and vocational education, allowing students to choose their own learning trajectories and programmes.

The framework has been jointly developed by a committee constituted by the Government with members from UGC, AICTE, NCVET, NIOS, CBSE, NCERT, Department of School Education and Literacy & Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, DGT, and Ministry of Skill Development under the guidance of Union Minister of Education and Minister of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship.

The Government is inviting comments and observations by the 30th of November on the document
which is available in the link below for download.

In my view, one subject, vocational training (of any kind) should be made mandatory so that every youth, after completing studies, have some training in hand to do any work of his/her choice.

Honorable PM Dear Modi , west I mean US implemented industry 4.0 in agriculture by aggregating farmers of each village to bult large scale farming and use of huge machines to level 1000 heater each and made all type of vegetables, fruits, pulses, grains etc ,then they tied up with China for same system . later Bharath was called to sign an agreement if free agriculture trade as they were already prepared in mass production to fully kill Agriculture in Bharath , good that PM did not sign the agreement. Can Bharath aggregate village farmers and invest in industry 4.0 in agriculture to mass produce all agriculture products then enter global market after 5 years . need to make PDO of village panchayat to make group of farmers, survey the each land and update records in village panchayat level irrespective of its legality of holding and issue map and picture of each land then make big fields of 500 Hector each , then agriculture department can grow and harvest agriculture products .

According to the framework, an academic year will be defined by the number of hours a student puts in. Credits will be provided to them accordingly at the end of each academic year.

There should not be any restrictions to those who really want to learn any topics.. choise per credit system may introduce than usual mark system which creates unnecessary compitition between students.. education is not for compitition but for learning and development
