Taking the vision of the new National Education Policy (NEP) as envisioned under the dynamic
leadership of our Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, the Government of India has developed the National Credit Framework (NCrF) to enable the integration of academic and vocational domains to ensure flexibility and mobility between the two. NCrF would be a game changer by opening numerous options for further progression of students and inter-mingling of school and higher education with vocational education and experiential learning, thus mainstreaming skilling and vocational education. NCrF will also enable students who have dropped out of mainstream education to re-enter the education ecosystem.

NCrF will seamlessly integrate the credits earned through school education, higher education, and
vocational and skill education by encompassing the National Higher Education Qualification Framework (NHEQF), National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF) and National School Education Qualification Framework (NSEQF). It also supports educational acceleration for students with gifted learning abilities and Recognition of Prior Learning for the workforce that has acquired knowledge and skills informally through the traditional family inheritance, work experience or other methods. The inclusive umbrella framework aims to make the options for Multiple Entry-Multiple Exit accessible and applicable across higher education, school education and vocational education, allowing students to choose their own learning trajectories and programmes.

The framework has been jointly developed by a committee constituted by the Government with members from UGC, AICTE, NCVET, NIOS, CBSE, NCERT, Department of School Education and Literacy & Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, DGT, and Ministry of Skill Development under the guidance of Union Minister of Education and Minister of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship.

The Government is inviting comments and observations by the 30th of November on the document
which is available in the link below for download.

National education policy framework is a complex subject. Even a qualified teacher will have difficulty to understand. Once upon a time we were University of the world. How it was derived may contain some important aspects. My school logo was kamadhenu sitting below kalpavraksha. This has all the meaning of education. We have heard about Japanese primary education system which we should appreciate the behavioral science behind it.Brain can be compared to a growing plant to a tree with large leaf surface area. More surface area of grey matter more the content it can hold this is one part. Creating a creative mind is the best a teacher can give to a society & a country. Primary education is the most important building block. Creating quest to learn & discover is the essence. I am not highly qualified to comment on education. This is a small input.

Namaste ji. In most of the Institutions, only Academic activities are encouraged. In NEP, Encouragement of Sports activities have been mentioned. With Our Honourable PM's Great efforts,YOGA DAY is being celebrated in all over the World. YOGA and Sports activities in NEP may be monitored by SAI (Sports Authority of India) for proper implementation. Sports students must be treated equally with other students. Separate Grievances forum may be introduced for Sports students in NEP. For the Past 8 years Indians made new records and shining in World Sports and Games. Because of NEP the more hopes may come in Sports and Games. Jai Hind

Our Education policy seems good but still needs amendments. Starting with government teachers, on which government relies and depend much. They represent either state or Central Government but most of the teachers are there with nill education in the department. As per my openion there must be time to time scrutiny of government teachers so that talented and nurtured teachers are admitted time to time. In order to draft education policy this must be kept as a point and hopefully it would be a game changing decision in education sector.
