"For a truly inclusive transport system, the Draft Accessibility Standards must ensure universal access through features like step-free entry, audio-visual announcements, wheelchair-friendly design, tactile pathways, and trained support staff. Accessibility is not a privilege — it is a right. Let us build a transport system where dignity, safety, and independence are guaranteed for all, especially persons with disabilities."

🚦 Your Voice Matters! Help Make Transport Easy for Everyone 🚌♿

The government has created Draft Accessibility Standards for the Transport & Mobility Sector — this means new rules to make travel easier and safer for persons with disabilities, elderly people, and everyone else.

📢 Now they want your help!
They are asking citizens, experts, NGOs, and anyone interested to read the draft and share their comments, ideas, or suggestions.

🛤️ Why is this important?
Because accessible buses, trains, roads, and airports help everyone — including those with physical, visual, hearing, or mental challenges — move around freely and with dignity.

Dear honorable ministers,
Multi modal transit systems with seamless interchange at each district headquarter will be necessary for vision 2047. It will be worth considering establishing metro rail projects in all the district headquarters so that better urban design and planning is possible. Seamless integration of metro,ISBTs and public transportation such as pods on monorail will end the chaos on the roads as all traffic will flow along with pod taxis on monorail in a predetermined path. Infact weaving in and out of traffic can be curtailedto a large extent if we bring in metro rail projects and include pods on mono rail for last mile connectivity.

Experts in transportation and urban planning can shed more light on this but my perspective is based on observations of chaotic flow of traffic due to bad town/urban design & planning
