In the latest episode of Mann Ki Baat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has urged Indian children to engage with their grandparents and ask them about their life as children: what sports they played, which theatre or cinema they went to, which relatives they visited, festivals they celebrated, and so on.

These stories would not just take the children to India back then, but also be an invaluable treasure for the family, to be cherished forever.

Here’s an opportunity for all children (and adults too), to interview their loved Dada-Dadis, Nana-Nanis or any other elder in the family, like ‘cub reporters’; video record the same; and share with the MyGov family!

नानी की कहानी! सन् १९८४ की बात है जब हम सभी भाई-बहनों को लेकर मां बाबूजी, नानी घर बरौनी बिहार आए थे। वहां पहले से मौसी और मामी के भी छोटे छोटे बच्चे थे। फिर क्या बच्चों की हुरदंग, कभी तो अच्छा लगता तो कभी बुरा! ऐसे में नानी आती और फिर क्या था, बच्चे नानी को घेर लेते, नानी नानी सुनाओ न एक कहानी। तभी नानी कहती मिलजुलकर बैठो और सुनो।एक राजा था ,वह पहले एक साधारण आदमी था, फिर वह अपने भाई बहनों के साथ मिलकर रहा और मिहनत किया, फिर राजा बन गया। तभी तो मैं कहती कि"मिल जुल खाय राजा बन जाय।
