The Office of the Chief Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities should be closed as the powers of Chief Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities are limited, and there is no power to pass injunction orders as per the Supreme Court in the recent judgement in the case of State Bank of Patiala and Ors. Vs. Vinesh Kumar Bhasin (2010) 4 SCC 368. A separate fast track court should be available for speedy justice for PHPs. Announcement to this effect on 3.12.15 will mitigate hardship of disabled.
