Although Indian Railways enjoy the highest captive eyeballs in a railway system internationally, it earns less than 5% of its revenues through non-tariff sources. Many of the world railway systems generate 10% to 20% of their revenues from non-tariff sources.

IR typically has focused on increasing revenues through tariff hikes. It wants to change this and challenge the conventional thinking by exploiting new sources of revenue so that every asset, tangible or non-tangible, gets optimally monetized

We invite ideas from citizens on increasing non fare revenue for Indian Railways.

Create luxurious lodges inside station with all conveniences. It will be so much of a convenience for passengers. They can proceed to their work places directly from station. It will also be so convenient catching the train. Present waiting rooms are so shabby, so ill maintained that no one even thinks of staying there. Rent out the space for some third party.

1.Display advertisements on trains and railway stations. 2.Chambers could be rented on railway stations. 3.Infrastructure could be provided on railway stations to private firms. 4.Startups can be initiated on railway stations. 5.E-business relative to Indian railways could be encouraged to ease passenger satisfaction like e-food purchase, bed rolls, other services etc to earn extra income to Indian Railways.

Find ways to improve quality of passenger’s travelling and waiting time. Try to make travelling time less boring. Start paid facilities to make travelling time enjoyable. 1) Allow brands like domino's Javed Habib Hair saloon to do business in train 3) Provide good facility to take rest. Traveller will pay for 2 hrs sleep on clean bed. 4) Put advertising LEDs in train 5) Start pick up and drop facilities. Have tie-up with OLA cab. 6) Start luxurious honeymoon coach for married couples.

Incentive to railway class D worker so that they can be motivated and feel pride to serve at the ground level. Give them good uniform and facility like hand gloves and proper shoes. Then lot of exchequer revenue can be saved which was exhausted in cleanliness drive every year.

Solution of De duplication:- Finding duplicate values in billions of data. The easiest way to finding duplicate data is that Step 1 : check the size of billions of data 2: Now reserve the same space for finding out duplicate value (it is now always necessary to reserve space it can too be done at run time very easily ) 3: if value and its address is same it is very easy to find out duplicate values as we have random access memories. 4: But it is Remaining in the image..

There is lot of scrap (Metallic) which is lying along the track for years which can be sold. Railways also have lot of land along the tracks which can be rented specially in cities.
