The Indian Nanoelectronics Users Program (INUP), hosted at IIT Bombay and IISc Bangalore, with financial support from the Department of Electronics and Information Technology (DeitY), strives to address many of these challenges. Through INUP, Ph.D. students and faculty innovators from any university or institution in India recognized by MHRD can access these nanofabrication facilities which house more than 150 sophisticated instruments for fabrication and characterization of nanoelectronic devices. The students also receive mentorship from experts – both faculty and other senior students – about their research projects and prototype development. INUP also conducts workshops to provide information and “hands-on” sessions to explain use of equipment.

If you are a Ph.D. student anywhere in India who wishes to try out an innovative idea in the area of nanoelectronics, you can send a proposal to INUP (http://www.inup.iitb.ac.in and http://www.nano.iisc.ernet.in/inup/). INUP provides the funding, help, mentorship and facilities, but the IP of your idea belongs to you.

State Bank of India's recent decision to control, regulate and price the ATM usage by its customers, is not only too complicated but it is also introducing a "minimum balance" requirement through a back door decision. Such a "minimum balance" is also too high even when compared to most of the private sector banks. Govt. must intervene to retain benefits of technology usage to individual customers in public sector banks

The Threat of Ebola. It is too real to be ignored or to be underestimated. A proactive strategy needs to be put in place at all levels of health administration, even private clinics. The threat of infection and subsequent spread of the virus is highly possible in a country as populated and having a social structure like India. The Health and Transport Dept are working round the clock maintaining a strict vigil at our Airports and other points of public entry. But more public awareness is reqd.

Popular brands of Automotive spares are severely suffering at the hands of counterfeiters who are producing and selling fake products. The anti national elements who are constantly abusing well known brands, violating the intellectual Property Rights and registered Trade marks are having total freedom with out the fear of law. The reason being the tooth less law which provides the shelter of bail immediately. Huge loss to govt's exchequer. Delhi is the main hub ! Any strict actions please !

I think there should be some training courses based upon industrial and social requirements. There are so many areas which require help of this new technology. But as all other institutes such research goes on but society and industries never come together and unluckily we are loosing so many great opportunities to shine in the world. Only thing what I suggest is to bridge this gap by providing interactive seminars and smaller training sessions between institutes and industries/society.

The question is, why and how a Bank be allowed to charge such huge amounts in the name of sanction of loan. Further, they impose a purchase of compulsory insurance from the same bank as a pre requisite to avail the loan. This is sheer black mailing and should be strictly avoided. The bank should have a motto to help the industries grow, not to squeeze the industry in the name of financial assistance.

Dear sir, Before moving to any technology, I think the man behind the machine must be brainwashed. There must be a feeling of co operation instead of cheating or be fooling fellow indians. for example : A nationalised bank while giving a loan adopts a policy of making money out of the sanction letter itself by putting 1. Upfront fee. 2. Documentation charges in percentage of loan amount 3. EMT charges per lac of loan. 4. CERSAI Charges. 5. CIBIL charges. 6. Appraisal charges with service tax.
