Dear Sir, Yoga and Dhayan (meditation) should be made mandatory part of new education policy. This will ensure holistic physical, mental and spiritual development of children. Education is the basic right of very human being hence it should be made partially free. Child healthcare should be integrated into new education policy, which will help us in building a strong nation of educated youths.

The excessive use of pesticides has cause severe health issues in several rural areas. Local water bodies are polluted with field run-offs and cause neural damage as well as sterility amongst the population. It is imperative that a country connects its agricultural policy to education and health- the way we treat the earth is how we will live.

My previous post spoke of medical vans making visits- there are many NGOs that provide these services across the nation. The govt needs to do this as a PP partnership and ensure the screening of all students. Next is malnutrition. India is worse than Sub-saharan Africa when it comes to the malnutrition of our children. These medical vans need to collect data for every child and find trends- is the BMI low in the entire area or specific to a school etc. Mid-day meal quality can be crossreferred

In the US, if you do not provide your child's immunization records, you cannot get a seat in any school- it is part of the application process- basic immunization for dpt, mmr, polio are checked. Until grade 5, hearing and sight medical vans come to each school site annually to ensure that students have proper vision/ hearing- to make it more efficient, teachers recommend students they think need help. Sometimes parents send in a request to the school to make use of the free service.

1. Reduce the number of books to be carried by children daily. They carry one big sack of books daily.
2. Students are made to mug and vomit the lessons. They should be taught practically.
3. Vocational education should be made compulsory from 6th Std. so that even if they quit school by 10th, they can find job.
4. All teachers should be given license to work at teacher and should be renewed every 5 years after written examination.
5. Discipline & cleanliness shd be taught from 1st Std.

Currently only the families who are BPL go to Government schools. But the quality of education is very bad it's hard truth but we have to accept it.Look at at mid day meal project it has killed many people
Instead of providing free education through primary school/midddle Government school Citizens should be given choice to enroll into school of their choice. Government can identify the people who need free education and can provide DBT transfer instead of building schools which do not function.

In our education system, i m sorry to say but there is deep hole... every school must be ordered by the government...to add a subject in their curriculum that simply defines the importance of business...and ways or procedures to start certain firm of your own in your country...this subject must be enforced from higher secondaries(6th to 12th)...atleast they can build the courage to start their own firm...

A healthy mind in a healthy body, as we all know - it would definitely help to take all measures to provide every child with a healthy, nutritious diet on a daily basis, physical and mental exercises to keep their minds alive and active.
