There is a need to improve access to child health services. The Ministry of Health is focusing on promoting child health through appropriate interventions. Presently, the Department of School Education and Literacy, MHRD addresses the nutritional needs of school going children in the age group of 6-14 years through the Mid- Day Meal (MDM) Scheme. The Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS) under WCD also addresses the issues of child health. There is, however, a need to synergize the multi-sectoral interventions taken by the relevant GOI Ministries. The existing schemes need to be examined for their outcomes and impediments in implementation, including those of coordination. This theme seeks views and suggestions on how to ensure greater focus on child through improvements in existing schemes and suggest new holistic interventions.

I'm studying in 12th science Gujarat board I think we should change our education system and mainly paper checking system. In this system we're just learning how to get marks instead of learning how to apply what we have studded. We're learning "LETTER WRITING" but it is not practical instead of that you should teach us "HOW TO E-MAIL" which every one is using in now days. This 'll help rural students. Most of students around me can't make a simple email. You should think about our useless course.

Educating the parents in villages, towns and even cities on how to maintain the nutrition of their children has become the need of the hour. More volunteers must come up to educate the parents in and around their vicinity. Educational workshops must be conducted free of cost to ensure maximum participation.

sir, i clearly feel that the scheme for reservation for too many castes is harmful for growth of India.reservation in education should be there , but for only economically backward, physically disabled and girl students.why do ,say, OBC category students get reservation though they are rich enough to pay any college fees?..also while studying in class 11th and 12th I have seen many backward caste rich students who don't work hard, only because they know that they don't need to.

CCE SYSTEM IS GOOD FOR THE WEAKER STUDENTS, WHOS PARENTS ARE NOT ECONOMICALLY SOUND AND AWARE ANOUGH TO GUIDE THEIR CHILD, THERE ARE MANY MORE OTHER REASONS WHEN A STUDENT HELPLESS TO GO AHEAD IN THE CLASS LIKE NOT INTREST IN EDUCATION, HE IS DISTURBED DUE TO PARENTS QUARREL, MANTALLY IN ANY WAY WEAK ETC. AT LEAST THEY QUALIFY MATRIC BY THIS CEE. OTHERWISE IN THE SAME CLASS HE WILL CREAT PROBLEM TO OTHER STUDENTS AND CAN BECOME LIKE DADA TYPE AND HE IS MERELY WASTING HIS TIME AND ENERGY.
