If everything else can be digital or even virtual then why not currency. Bitcoin is a storm that has taken the global economy by surprise. India will at some point have to accept it as legal tender. So long as it's use is regulated and it's transactions through banks can be tracked, it should be acceptable.

Virtual currencies should be legalized in India. It has been declared legal in many countries. Various taxation can be imparted on profit from VC sell. All purchases and sell are occurring through Online network only(NEFT/bank transfer/KYC verification)and hence everything is traceable.

Make Bitcoin or legal in India... Because Bitcoin is a decentralized currency. Many countries declare legal to Bitcoin. So Bitcoin should be legal in India because now time is of digitization.
