However passengers tend to carry inflammable and dangerous materials like firecrackers, petroleum products, explosives etc., resulting in fire accidents and loss of human life.

Contd...In my posts here ealier, I presented the idea that the fertile stretches of land along the railway tracks could be utilized for vegetation purposes, the less fertile stretchs could be developed as Green Belts, and BARREN STRETCHES COULD BE PUT TO COMMERCIAL USE. AS THINGS STAND TODAY, IN MY HOME TOWN -- JALANDHAR --THE LONG STRETCHES LAND ALONG THE RAILWAY TRACKS HAVE EITHER BECOME DUMPING AREAS GETTING CONVERTED INTO FILTHY STENCHING SPOTS OR HAVE GROWN WILD GROWTH.

The Railway Minister in his speech presenting the Railway Budget has expressed plans to put to commercial use the vacant land. As a matter of fact this is an issue hanging fire since long. In my posts several weeks back, I tried to put forth the issue of long stretches of land available on both sides of the Railway tracks which may total upto several thousand acres in the country. NO SECRET OF THE FACT THAT PRESENTLY THIS LAND HAS EITHER BEEN ENCROACHED UPON OR HAS BECOME DUMPING AREAS.

Railway short distance ticketing is an ordeal. Automatic ticketing based on bluetooth based ibeacon or NFC technologies can provide hassel free frictionless ticketing and decentralise and streamline ticketing system.

Hello Sir, You have launched an outstanding Mission Swatch bharat,That should be clean and green by 2019 But this should be need more publitize i believe as i see still most of the house holders and throwing there wastege just out side of there doors or houses just they want there house should be clean but not country i saw,In order to avoid these failures 1)Why cant we keep a big box on out side of every house from Council,so that it is every one responsibility to keep there wastage stuff in the out side box 2)Though advertizements are making this publicity though it is reaching to mark for people to behave ,Can we keep atleast SMS services once in a month on there regional languanges to all Indian citizens to keep this mission sucess always .So that people atleast see there mobiles to realize and understnad this mission Swathc bharath .

In railways, like pantry car, why dont we provide compartment specially for "Medical Shop, Lending Library & ATM machine" ? Lot many patients traveling daily, they may get the medicines inside the train itself. Then many peoples have interest to read the books, but due to costlier they may not purchase, for this the lending library they will get the books with cheap rates as rental and return back before getting down. Then ATM machine. These 3 in one compartment means it will useful for us ?

4. Coming to digitalization the TT s can be provided with tablets llike that of micromax etc of low cost wherein the charts etc can be prepared and ticket status can be checked easily . this way usage of paper would be less.In addition to this the traditional method of charts displayed on the train should be eradicated and a digital screen should be fixed so that it would be computerized and the details of passengers would be displayed clearly. Its cost effective and effecien
